More than 32,000 people are thought to have taken part in the Manchester Half Marathon 2026, pounding the city's pavements along a 13.1-mile route. The course passed through Hulme, the city centre, Chorlton, Sale and Sale Moor, with DJs stationed along the way to motivate runners feeling the strain.
Route and Start Line
The route started and finished in Trafford, near Old Trafford and Lancashire County Cricket Club. Participants put their long hours of training into practice to help raise money for charities close to their hearts.
Charity Fundraising
Last year more than £1.8 million was raised for local and national charities. With about 9,500 more people competing this year, good causes are set to benefit from increased fundraising.
Celebrity Participants
Famous faces among the crowd included professional dancer and Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Márquez, as well as professional boxer and TV star Tommy Fury.
The Manchester Half Marathon will return on Sunday 3 October 2027.
