Ayr Golf Festival 2026 Winners Announced

The winners of the 2026 Ayr Golf Festival have been announced following a week of intense competition held from Wednesday 3 June to Sunday 7 June at Belleisle and Seafield Golf Courses. Golfers from across the United Kingdom participated in this prestigious event.

Competition Overview

Twelve competitions were conducted throughout the week, including the highly anticipated Ayr Golf Championship, where players vied for the coveted Tam o' Shanter and Handyside Trophies. This year's Championship reverted to the popular qualifying and match-play knockout format, culminating in local golfer Jamie Hay from Ayr Belleisle Golf Club emerging as the champion.

Returning and New Events

Long-standing favourites such as the Mixed Foursomes, Ladies Tri-Am, and Ladies Greensomes made a welcome return. Meanwhile, the introduction of the Seniors Stableford Open and the 3 Person Texas Scramble received positive feedback from participants, indicating these events are likely to be included again next year. A special mention was made for the 54 Junior Boys and Girls who participated in the Junior Open at Belleisle Golf Course under challenging conditions.
