The British & Irish Lions have already secured the series victory against Australia, winning the first two Tests 27-19 in Brisbane and 29-26 in Melbourne. The third Test in Sydney offers the Lions a chance to achieve a clean sweep, a feat not accomplished since 1974.
The series has not been without controversy. Australia coach Joe Schmidt criticised a clearout by Jac Morgan that led to the Lions' match-winning try, claiming it disregarded player safety. Schmidt said, 'You cannot hit someone above the level of their shoulders and there's no bind with the left arm, the hand's on the ground.' However, former scrum-half Andy Nicol defended Morgan, stating, 'That was a classic rugby incident... that was a perfect clearout.'
The third Test takes place on Saturday 2nd August 2025, kicking off at 11am UK time. Coverage begins at 10am on Sky Sports Main Event and Action. Sky Sports can be added to any Sky TV package for £22 per month, or the complete sports package plus Netflix for £43 per month. Sky Sports customers can stream via the Sky Go app.
Alternatively, the match is available on NOW with a day membership (£14.99) or month membership (£34.99). NOW can be streamed on computers, smart TVs, phones, and consoles.
