Zinedine Zidane will make his debut as France manager on Friday when Les Bleus face Turkey in the Uefa Nations League, ending a 14-year era under Didier Deschamps. The new manager has called up several new faces to his squad for the fixture.

What to watch for
Kylian Mbappé has described working under Zidane as “like something from a movie,” although the Real Madrid forward is an injury doubt for Friday's game. The 27-year-old has scored eight goals in eight games this season and could be France's primary attacking threat if he shakes off the injury.
Zidane has long been a mystery as a manager. While the former midfielder enjoyed incredible success as Real Madrid boss, winning three Champions League titles, his favoured style of play wasn't always obvious. He has always been a vibes over tactics coach.
Didier Deschamps was never renowned for his tactical acumen either, so Zidane's appointment may not represent much of a shift for Les Bleus. Nonetheless, there is intrigue over how France's players will respond to a new manager after such a long time playing for Deschamps.
Turkey's response
Turkey are hoping to bounce back from a disappointing World Cup that saw Vincenzo Montella's side crash out in the group stage. Montella kept his job as Turkey manager despite the disastrous campaign, although the Italian is under pressure. Hakan Calhanoglu will be missed in central midfield, but Turkey still have a lot of talent in other areas.
