Motherwell are leading the chase to sign free-scoring Ilves star Jardell Kanga. The Steelmen are trying to fight off competition from several European clubs to land the Swedish under-21 international.
Kanga's Impressive Form
The 20-year-old is currently one of the top stars in the Veikkausliiga. The attacking midfielder has 10 goals and five assists in just 19 league appearances and 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions in total.
Kanga signed for Ilves from Hammarby last season, having previously been on loan at the Finns. He came through the youth ranks at Brommapojkarna and then had under-age spells in Germany and Holland with Bayer Leverkusen and De Graafschap. Kanga returned to Sweden with Hammarby in 2024.
Motherwell's Transfer Activity
Motherwell have been active in the transfer market under Alfred Johansson. They made Seb Palmer-Houlden their latest capture when they agreed a fee with Gillingham earlier today.
Kanga would more fill the Elijah Just void, who left for a club record sale to Swansea City earlier in the summer.
