Wrexham had previously welcomed Conservative MP Sarah Atherton and other Tories for a photoshoot at the Racecourse Ground in July.
The club's reaction may be influenced by its pursuit of government funding. Atherton has supported Wrexham's bid for levelling-up funds to redevelop the Kop End stand, which has been closed since 2008. The club is seeking a share of £18m for the project, and maintaining good relations with the Conservative government could be crucial.
Mullin's protest comes as many in the UK express frustration with the Conservative party, which recently saw Rishi Sunak become prime minister. The incident is likely to feature in the next season of the documentary series "Welcome to Wrexham," which follows the club's Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
