Premier League fans are set for a reduced Sunday schedule this weekend, with just one fixture taking place. Liverpool host Arsenal at 4.30pm, while the other game originally planned for Sunday has been moved to Saturday due to European commitments.
Why the schedule changed
Broadcasters initially slated only two matches for Sunday: Aston Villa vs Fulham and Liverpool vs Arsenal. With no European football in midweek, there was no need for additional games to be shifted to Sunday.
However, Villa are in Champions League action on Tuesday when they travel to Barcelona. As a result, their home match against Fulham has been brought forward.
Rescheduled clash and Monday night game
Unai Emery's side now host Fulham at 8pm on Saturday instead. That leaves the meeting between Liverpool and Arsenal as the sole Sunday fixture.
Gameweek nine concludes on Monday when Newcastle host Everton. The two sides met in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.
TV coverage details
All of Aston Villa vs Fulham, Liverpool vs Arsenal and Newcastle vs Everton will be shown live on Sky Sports, along with the Saturday 5.30pm kick-off between Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
