Dana White and Jake Paul had an awkward encounter at the College Football Playoff National Championship in Miami on Monday, with US President Donald Trump present. The trio was seen together in a suite at Hard Rock Stadium, where a video captured the tense moment.
The footage shows White remaining seated as Paul greeted someone else. White eventually engaged in conversation with the YouTuber-turned-boxer after Trump included him. The clip had minimal sound, leaving fans speculating about the dialogue. Social media users commented on the tension, with one noting: 'That tension was LOUD.'
This encounter follows years of public disagreements between White and Paul, with Paul frequently criticising White over UFC fighter pay. In October 2024, White denied allegations that Paul was banned from UFC events after attempting to sneak into the Sphere in Las Vegas. Despite their history, White stated last September that he harbours no ill feelings towards Paul.
The meeting comes shortly after White criticised Paul's bout with Anthony Joshua last month, where Joshua knocked out Paul in the sixth round, breaking Paul's jaw. White told Complex: 'It's just not what I do. I think everybody that was involved in that thing should be embarrassed. It's crazy that that fight was even allowed to happen.'
