The sons of three former Wales internationals featured for Ospreys U18s as they were beaten 41-19 by Dragons U18s at The Gnoll today.
Wales legend James Hook's son Harrison lined up at outside-half for the Ospreys, while former Wales captain Ryan Jones' son Jacob started at blindside flanker. Loosehead prop Mason James is also the son of former Ospreys and Wales prop Paul James, who is now part of Steve Tandy's backroom team with the national side.
Dragons dominate with seven tries
It was the Dragons who took the spoils, scoring seven tries on their way to a resounding victory in the WRU Regional Age Grade U18s Championship. A hat-trick of tries from Dragons wing Rhys Dyer downed the Ospreys, while his fellow wing Dylan Cole touched down twice. Ellis Anderson and Troy Raymond also scored tries for the Men of Gwent.
Ospreys' response
The Ospreys scored three tries courtesy of Evan Trott, Jayden Underhill and Will Kerslake, while Hook kicked four points.
Importance of the win
This was an important victory for the Dragons who bounced back well from an opening round 53-38 defeat to Cardiff. Elsewhere, Cardiff U18s travelled to north Wales today, where they edged out RGC U18s 24-19 in a closely fought contest.
The Dragons will host RGC at Ystrad Mynach next Sunday, while Cardiff take on the Scarlets at the Arms Park.
