This weekend's sporting action includes the start of the US Open tennis, a full slate of Premier League fixtures, and a heavyweight title fight in London. Our live blogs will provide up-to-the-minute reports and analysis.
Saturday's action
From 8am BST, Luke McLaughlin and Sarah Rendell will cover all the day's breaking news from around the grounds as another round of Premier League fixtures takes place and the transfer window nears closure. At 11am, Tanya Aldred will be at Scarborough for day three of the County Championship as Yorkshire face Leicestershire. Updates will come from all the day's action, including Division One leaders Nottinghamshire taking on third-placed Warwickshire at Edgbaston and title-chasing Somerset facing Sussex at Hove.
Also at 11am, Tim de Lisle and James Wallace will provide over-by-over coverage of day three of the second Test between England and Pakistan at Lord's. Pakistan suffered an innings defeat in the first Test at Headingley but have bounced back in the second, and the tourists will be looking to force a series decider. Premier League and rugby union
At 12.30pm, Liverpool host Nottingham Forest in Andoni Iraola's first competitive home game since his move from Bournemouth. Oliver Glasner has started his reign with two home defeats to Leeds, but Forest have won their last two visits to Anfield without conceding a goal. Sarah Rendell helms the live blog with Andy Hunter as match reporter.
Barry Glendenning's blog at 3pm will focus on Saturday's pair of top-flight 3pm kick-offs. Bournemouth lost their opener after conceding two late goals at Manchester City, and Marco Rose's side meet an Everton side seeking to start a league season with back-to-back wins for the first time since 2020. Elsewhere, Coventry host Hull in a meeting of promoted teams, with live updates from the Championship, Bundesliga and beyond.
At 4.10pm, South Africa seek to level the Greatest Rivalry series in Cape Town, where the All Blacks have played their hosts 11 times since 1928, winning seven. The All Blacks won 33-16 in a thrilling upset last Saturday at Ellis Park, but the main theme of this week's buildup has been about a backlash from South Africa, who haven't lost two home Tests in a row since August 2015. Evening boxing and Sunday's schedule
At 5.30pm, Scott Murray provides the overview on the pick of Saturday's Premier League matches as Tottenham host Newcastle. Spurs were beaten 3-0 by Brentford last weekend, while Matthias Jaissle's team were denied by a 99th-minute penalty equaliser against Liverpool. Paul MacInnes and Jonathan Liew report from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At 10pm, the IBF belt relinquished by Oleksandr Usyk will be on the line in London as Moses Itauma (14-0, 12 KOs) faces Croatia's Filip Hrgovic (20-1, 15 KOs). The 21-year-old Itauma could become the second-youngest heavyweight champion of all time, with Prince Naseem Hamed claiming Itauma is a "million times better" than Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. Bryan Armen Graham hosts the big fight blog and Donald McRae reports from the O2 Arena.
On Sunday, Emillia Hawkins previews the day's action from 8am, with four Premier League fixtures on offer. At 11am, Tanya Aldred has the best of day four's county action, and Tom Davies and James Wallace will provide over-by-over coverage of the second Test at Lord's if there is play.
At 2pm, the US Open gets underway in New York, with Carlos Alcaraz opening his title defence against Roman Safiullin.
