Tottenham sealed their place in the Carabao Cup third round with a comfortable 5-1 win at home to Charlton. New signing Savio scored on his debut, having been signed less than 36 hours before kick-off.
Spurs take control before the break
Tottenham were made to wait but took a comfortable 2-0 lead into the break after two goals in three minutes from Mikey Moore and Dominic Solanke on the stroke of half-time.
Kevin Danso headed home in the 67th minute with his first touch off the bench from Mateus Fernandes' free-kick before new £85million man Savio scored one and saw another shot deflect in off Ben Davies to put Spurs 5-0 up.
Late consolation for Charlton
Lloyd Jones pulled a goal back in the 87th minute to give the visitors something to cheer before the full-time whistle.

Player ratings
Antonin Kinsky 6: Produced two strong saves, one in each half, but will be disappointed to have not kept a clean sheet as Jones headed home late on.
Archie Gray 6: Showed plenty of endeavour to get up in support of Moore but lacked quality with his final ball. Looked a little cautious when faced up one-on-one with Millenic Alli, but ultimately Charlton rarely got the ball in the right areas to threaten, especially after Spurs took the lead.
Ben Davies 7: Solid and assured, he was given little trouble by Charlton. Scored rather innocuously as Savio's shot deflected off the Wales international and into the back of the net.
Jan Paul van Hecke 7: The tempo setter at the back. He misplaced just six of his 96 passes, with no player producing more passes into the final-third than the Dutchman. Replaced midway through the second-half.
Destiny Udogie 6: Valuable minutes and a first start of the season for Udogie as he works his way back to full fitness. Put himself amongst it and increasingly showcased his attacking capabilities.
Rodrigo Bentancur 6: Grew into the game. Some rash moments early on, but began to dominate as Spurs took control of possession. Strong but fair in the tackle and confident receiving under pressure.
Mikey Moore 8: Broke the deadlock with a moment of magic and did not look back after that. Showed superb strength and close control as he wriggled past challenges, asked defenders questions, and ultimately provided Spurs' biggest attacking threat.
Lucas Bergvall 6: Looked a lot more confident with the ball and will have been glad to have been given the chance to bounce straight back from his performance against Brentford.
Mateus Fernandes 7: Some nice moments from the £85million summer signing on his full debut. At his fluid best, he turned effortlessly out of pressure and provided thrust through the middle of the park. Provided a deft clipped ball for Danso to head home.
Mathys Tel 7: Heavily involved but just could not quite find his rhythm. He will have been disappointed not to get on the scoresheet as Spurs ran riot in the second-half.
Dominic Solanke 7: Has to be De Zerbi's first choice once the Spurs boss believes he is up to full fitness. Won countless fouls when dropping deep and protecting the ball. Got on the scoresheet with a lovely turn and finish.
Substitutes
Micky van de Ven 6: De Zerbi will be relieved to have the Dutch centre-half back after an injury-disrupted pre-season.
Pedro Porro 6: Gives Spurs a different dimension when he is on the pitch. For all Gray's hard work, De Zerbi will be glad to be able to call upon Porro again.
Kevin Danso 7: Scored with his first touch and took a whack on the head for his troubles. Will be frustrated not to have held onto the clean sheet.
Savio 9: Came on to huge cheers and made an immediate impact as he fired in his first Spurs goal with a powerful low drive from the edge of the box. De Zerbi said he wanted to see more end product from the Brazilian. Well, he is already off the mark in a Spurs shirt and was unlucky not to get a second when his shot deflected in off Davies.
Luca Williams-Barnett 6: A rapturous reception when he entered the fray, ultimately overshadowed by Savio's remarkable cameo.
