Tiger Woods Hints at Masters Comeback After TGL Return

Tiger Woods is set to return to competitive golf on Tuesday evening as he competes in the TGL Finals with Jupiter Links. The 50-year-old has been sidelined since missing the cut at the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon, recovering from an Achilles tendon rupture and lumbar disc replacement surgery.

Woods will tee off at the TGL Finals in Palm Beach Gardens, where his team faces Los Angeles Golf Club in the best-of-three series. The first match saw LA Golf Club secure a 6-5 comeback victory, with Sahith Theegala birdying the final hole. The second and third matches, if needed, will be played on Tuesday.

Speculation about Woods' potential participation in the Masters next month has intensified. Speaking earlier this month, Woods acknowledged the challenges of recovery, stating, 'Disk replacement is not a lot of fun... the body doesn't quite heal like it was when I was 24.'

Further fuelling speculation, the official Masters website updated Woods' bio, noting that he is making his 27th Masters start in 2026. The five-time Masters champion last won at Augusta in 2019, his most recent major victory.
