Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is enjoying a successful period both on and off the pitch, having recently married Borka Buzsik and become a father. The couple made their relationship official in July 2024, shortly after Hungary's elimination from Euro 2024. By October, Szoboszlai proposed at a luxury hotel in Budapest, and they married in March 2025, announcing the news on Instagram with black-and-white photos captioned '2025.03.25' and a red heart.
Six weeks ago, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter. Szoboszlai shared a touching image of them holding the newborn's hands, writing: 'Your birth means the world to me. Thank you, my love for bringing her into our life!' Buzsik maintains a low-key social media presence with only 13 Instagram posts, mostly featuring her husband, but has amassed 84,000 followers. She graduated from Budapest's Corvinus University in 2022.
Before Buzsik, Szoboszlai dated model and former tennis player Fanni Gecsek, whom he met while playing for Red Bull Salzburg in 2020. Gecsek competed in ITF tournaments from 2017 to 2019 before switching to modelling and social media. She holds a Master's degree in Luxury Fashion and Brand Marketing alongside International Sports Management, and splits her time between Budapest and Milan.
Gecsek initially remained in Hungary to finish her studies when Szoboszlai joined Liverpool, though it is unclear if this contributed to their split. She once liked an Instagram post criticising Romeo Lavia for choosing Chelsea over Liverpool, which was noticed by fans. Szoboszlai has become a key player for Liverpool since his 2023 move from RB Leipzig, with manager Arne Slot valuing him at £100 million.
