Swansea City are still in the race for Sporting Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui after the Algerian international rejected a proposed €8million transfer to Olympiacos, according to reports.
The Swans have been monitoring the 23-year-old this summer as they look to replace Ethan Galbraith following his move to Stoke City. Hull City had also previously shown interest in the midfielder.
Move to Greece collapses
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that Olympiacos had reached an agreement with Charleroi for an €8million transfer and had offered Titraoui a lucrative four-year contract that would have made him one of the club's highest-paid players.
However, Tavolieri has now claimed the deal collapsed after Titraoui rejected the offer, with the player understood to have been unconvinced by Olympiacos' sporting project.
Swansea's midfield search
That development leaves the door open for Swansea, who continue to search for midfield reinforcements before the Championship season begins. The Swans have already added Elijah Just, Joseph Opoku, and Moussa Yeo to their attacking options under Vitor Matos, but attention has now switched to replacing Galbraith.
Titraoui has emerged as a target after impressing in two seasons with Charleroi, making 74 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing five assists since joining from Paradou AC.

Capable of playing in various midfield roles, Titraoui is regarded as energetic and technically gifted, contributing both defensively and in possession. He has also been linked with Leeds United, Hull, Sunderland, and Wrexham this summer.
