Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Australia continues on Wednesday as they face Sydney FC at the Allianz Stadium. After a 2-0 win over Auckland FC and a 1-0 behind-closed-doors victory against Milton Keynes, Roberto De Zerbi’s side look to extend their winning run.
Team news and injury updates
De Zerbi fielded a youthful team against Auckland, cautious after a long flight. More senior players are expected in Sydney. New signings Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke could make their first appearances. Club-record signing Sandro Tonali, who missed the Auckland game, is also a possibility.
James Maddison and Destiny Udogie were absent against Auckland. De Zerbi said: 'He's not working the last five days, I think, like Udogie, but they have not a big problem, just to stay focused, don't take any risks. For the next friendly game against Sydney, maybe we play with Tonali, with others, maybe, we've got to see.'
