Solomon set to leave Tottenham amid West Ham links

Tottenham forward Manor Solomon is looking to leave the club this summer, amid links with West Ham.

Solomon is understood to not have a future in Spurs' first team under Roberto De Zerbi, despite a prominent - and, at times, impressive - role so far during pre-season.

Agent talks up West Ham move

West Ham have been credited with interest, along with Hull City, and Solomon's agent, Shlomi Ben Ezra, has talked up the Hammers.

"Manor isn’t expected to be a starter at Tottenham, at least not in the near future," he told Sport5, via Sport Witness.

"If I were a Tottenham player, I’d also aim to join a club where I’d be in the starting line-up, that’s the goal. A player’s career is short, and after eight years in Europe, Manor wants to make an impact.

"I think, without any personal bias, he has to play. He has a place at Tottenham, but some people think otherwise.

"He was also quite successful last year at Fiorentina, aside from a month and a half of bad luck and injury. I’m sure he’ll continue; he just needs the spot he deserves."

Loan spells and future

Solomon has spent the last two seasons out on loan, first with Leeds when in the Championship and then last season at Villarreal and then Fiorentina.

"West Ham are a huge club; Yossi Benayoun and Eyal Berkovic were there, too," Ben Ezra continued. "I think that at 27, he’s already at an age where he has experience, and there’s a consensus about Manor. Many teams like him because he’s a good player and a good person.

"As you’re reading, seeing, and reporting, Manor is in high demand this summer. We’ll see what happens in the coming days.

"Manor wants to play and be a key player. I believe that will happen in the coming days. I believe he’ll be playing in England next year, it’s very likely."
