Manchester United secured a comfortable pre-season victory over Rosenborg, with young forward Shea Lacey scoring his first senior goal to break the deadlock. The 19-year-old was played through by Joshua Zirkzee and finished calmly with his left foot.
Lacey's goal came on 31 minutes, delighting the travelling supporters. However, Patrick Dorgu, stationed on the left of midfield, initially appeared frustrated that the youngster opted to shoot rather than square the ball, though he later offered congratulations.
Leny Yoro hit the crossbar before half-time, and manager Michael Carrick made two changes at the interval, introducing Jaydan Kamason and Harry Amass for Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw.
United doubled their advantage shortly after the restart, with Zirkzee turning provider into scorer. The Dutchman, linked with a move to Juventus, produced two neat body feints before finishing into an empty net.
