Rio Ngumoha is in line for another England call-up as Thomas Tuchel prepares to name his squad for the Three Lions' final two Nations League matches of this campaign.
England face Croatia and Spain during the November international break. The squad announcement is due at 10am, with the Liverpool ECHO providing live coverage of the news.
Ngumoha's recent caps
Ngumoha did not feature in either of England's previous two Nations League matches, but he came on as a second-half substitute in both games against the Czech Republic to earn his second and third senior caps. He made his debut this summer in a friendly against New Zealand.
He was the only Liverpool player in that break's squad, compared to three from Everton, who had James Garner, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jordan Pickford all called up.
Palmer fitness check
Tuchel has checked in with Chelsea about Cole Palmer's fitness. Palmer missed the last squad due to injury following his World Cup snub. His exceptional form this season has put him in the frame for a recall, but Tuchel wants to make sure he is fully fit.
Earlier this season, Tuchel said: "My understanding is that he is playing with discomfort and pain, and he cannot compete at the highest level with discomfort and pain. So he withdrew and informed us, and Chelsea informed us. For sure. It is a missed opportunity. He misses too many opportunities. I don't blame him for it. It is just a fact."
England's Nations League route
England are all but certain to reach the quarter-finals, though they are not yet mathematically through. Spain lead Group A3 by three points with two games left, so England will probably need to win their final group match in Spain to top the group.
England's fixtures are against Croatia at Wembley on Thursday 12 November with a 19:45 kick-off, followed by Spain at the Metropolitano on Sunday 15 November, also at 19:45. The international break is shorter than last time, with Premier League action returning on Saturday 21 November.
