Richard Gere's Wife Shares Glimpse of New Life in Spain After US Move

Richard Gere's wife Alejandra Silva has offered a candid look into their new life in Spain after leaving the United States late last year. The couple, along with their sons Alexander, six, and James, four, relocated to Madrid, with the 75-year-old actor seen enjoying the Spanish capital this week.

Silva, 41, who married Gere in 2018, posted a series of affectionate photos with the 'Pretty Woman' star as they attended the Goya International Awards 2025 in Granada last week. The images showed the couple on a private jet and embracing on a balcony. She captioned the post: 'Back home, grateful to the @academiadecine for an unforgettable night. Thank you @antoniobanderas for always being by our side and making the night even more magical, see you soon.'

Gere discussed the move during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' late last year, joking about his wife's Spanish heritage. He described his family life as 'the top of the top,' adding: 'I love my wife, she's incredible. Great mother. The kids are healthy and happy. Of course there's nothing more than that.'

The couple sold their Connecticut ranch before the move, which they had purchased from Paul Simon two years ago. Gere told Vanity Fair España that after six years living in his world, it was fair to give his wife six years in hers. The pair, who share a 34-year age gap, bonded over humanitarian work and spirituality, marrying in 2018.
