Marcus Rashford is set to remain at Manchester United as the transfer window enters its final three weeks, with Michael Carrick confirming the forward will join the squad for next week's training camp in Ireland.
Carrick's Confirmation
Speaking after Saturday's friendly against PSG, Carrick said: "We have a full squad next week in Dublin. We fly straight there and meet Leeds on Wednesday. We have a few days in Dublin where we have the whole squad, including Marcus, Kobbie [Mainoo] and Lisandro [Martinez]."
The 28-year-old has been the subject of significant speculation after returning from a loan spell at Barcelona, where he expressed a desire to stay. However, the Spanish club opted to sign Anthony Gordon instead, and Tottenham have also been linked with a move.
Rashford's Return
Rashford was given an extended break after the World Cup and has not yet trained with United. He is due back next week, with Carrick adding: "I've played with him. I played in the game he made his debut, so we have a history."
In a twist, Rashford could make his comeback against Ruben Amorim, now at AC Milan, who United face in Poland next Saturday. Barcelona boss Hansi Flick said: "You don't know what happens with players who are on loan. Our situation is not easy for that, but I appreciate working with him. He is a fantastic player and a fantastic person. The team miss him, I will miss him, but it is life. This is what we have to accept."
As things stand, Rashford looks set to stay at Old Trafford unless the situation changes before the transfer deadline.
