Derek McInnes takes charge of his first competitive home game as Rangers manager, with the Light Blues seeking their first league win of the season against Hibs at Ibrox.
The new boss, who spent five years at the club as a player, has made a stuttering start with a draw at Dundee United and a Europa League qualifying defeat in Poland. A victory against David Gray's side would ease early pressure.
McInnes sets Ibrox challenge
McInnes has challenged his players to make Ibrox a fortress again, urging them to put stress on opponents. He believes visiting teams have enjoyed coming to Govan in recent seasons, and that must change.
Hearts, Hibs, and Motherwell all won at Ibrox in the league last season, while Celtic, Dundee United, and Falkirk also picked up points. McInnes said: "We're still working towards our best performances but on Sunday we'll have 50,000 fans behind us. We've got all the ingredients there to try and get up and running - and get our first three points in the league."
Hibs in confident mood
Hibs lost their league opener to Motherwell but are 2-1 up from their Conference League qualifier against Shkendija, so they travel along the M8 in good spirits. Gray renews his rivalry with McInnes, who was at Hearts last season.
McInnes added: "Last season, with both sides of the Old Firm, a lot of teams felt they could get a bit closer to them if you brought a big performance. We have to try and put more stress on opponents - home and away - but especially when they come to Ibrox now. We want them not to cope and be looking around at each other saying: 'Here they come again'. That's the mentality."
Early team news
Rangers are still awaiting potential new signings, but McInnes insists the current squad has enough quality to win. Hibs midfielder Josh Mulligan, a former Dundee player, is reportedly a target for Genoa, with three years left on his Easter Road deal.
