Rangers are reportedly exploring an ambitious move for Brugge standout Hugo Siquet, according to FootMercato. The 24-year-old right-back has been a key player for the Belgian side since joining from Freiburg, following an impressive loan spell with city rivals Cercle.
Rangers' Right-Back Targets
Siquet is known for his attacking contributions, often supporting the forward line. He is not the only right-back on Rangers' radar, as Record Sport has revealed that Aston Villa's Kosta Nedeljkoviis is also high on their wanted list.
Rangers' executives told shareholders at a recent meeting that they are seeking 'four or five' new signings, with PSV winger Couhaib Driouech reportedly set to join for £7m. Former Hearts star James Penrice could also provide competition at left-back, as he is set to leave AEK Athens on loan.
Contract and Performance
Siquet is under contract with Brugge until 2028 and made 40 appearances in all competitions last season.
