Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Matyev Safonov required medical treatment after colliding with a member of the club's coaching staff during the warm-up for Friday's match against Lille.
The 27-year-old was diving toward a ball during a clearing exercise before kick-off when his head struck a PSG coach. He lay sprawled on the pitch as medical assistants rushed over, while players and staff stopped their warm-up to gather around him.
Treatment and match fitness
Lucas Chevalier began preparing for a late switch between the posts, but the PSG No. 2 was eventually told to step aside. Safonov was permitted to continue after swift treatment.
He went on to play the entire 90 minutes as PSG were held to a 2-2 draw at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Hakon Haraldsson opened the scoring for the hosts after 21 minutes, with Lille defending their lead for most of the contest. Dilane Bakwa doubled the advantage with fewer than 10 minutes remaining.
Late comeback and league form
Vitinha pulled a goal back early in added time, and Marquinhos equalised in the dying moments to salvage a point for the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
PSG have now taken just two points from their opening two fixtures of the 2026/27 campaign, following a 2-2 draw with Rennes last weekend. They sit sixth in the league table.

PSG next face AS Monaco at the Parc des Princes on Friday, September 4. The club also learned their Champions League group-stage opponents this week, as they aim to defend their European title for a second time.
In the group stage, PSG will host Barcelona, Roma, Galatasaray and SK Slovan Bratislava, with away fixtures against Manchester City, Aston Villa, Villarreal and Como. Match dates are anticipated to fall on Saturday, August 29.
