Prince William, the Prince of Wales and a lifelong Aston Villa fan, was seen celebrating with the team after their Europa League final victory over Freiburg in Istanbul. The future king joined the dressing room party, drinking beers and sharing emotional moments with players and staff.
Villa secured their first major trophy since 1996 and first European success since 1982, with goals from Youri Tielemans, Emi Buendia, and Morgan Rogers. William, visibly emotional in the stands, was invited into the celebrations by the team.
Full-back Matty Cash revealed that William enjoyed beers with the players. "He deserves moments like these and hopefully he can let his hair down," Cash said. Captain John McGinn joked that the prince was welcome to join them as long as he picked up the bill.
William later posed for photos with manager Unai Emery and Villa director Damian Vidagany, holding the trophy. On social media, he praised the team and sent a special shout-out to injured midfielder Boubacar Kamara.
The party continued with family and friends, as Maja Lindelof, wife of Villa defender Victor Lindelof, shared an image of William partying with the caption 'off the rails'. Villa's victory also secured their return to the Champions League next season.
