Addressing Guardiola, Prince William said with a grin: "Another one, hey! Congratulations Pep, well done." He then turned to defender John Stones, telling him: "Another one, well done." Stones was an unused substitute due to injury, while Bernardo Silva captained the side.
The victory marked Guardiola's 20th trophy as City boss, with his contract running until 2026. However, speculation over his future persists. When asked about exit rumours by TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods, Guardiola responded "What rumours?" before cutting the interview short.
Stones and Silva, both out of contract at the end of June, are expected to leave the club. Their departures could mark the end of an era for City, who have won multiple trophies under Guardiola's tenure.
City now turn their attention to the Premier League title race, sitting two points behind leaders Arsenal with two games remaining. They face Bournemouth on Tuesday and Aston Villa on the final day.
