Premier League 2026-27 Fixtures: Arsenal Start vs Coventry

The Premier League has announced the fixtures for the 2026-27 season, with champions Arsenal set to begin their title defence against newly-promoted Coventry City on the opening weekend.

Opening Weekend Highlights

The first round of matches will take place on the weekend of 22 and 23 August, a week later than usual due to the World Cup. Arsenal, who secured their first league title in 22 years last season after a tight race with Manchester City, will host Coventry at the Emirates Stadium.

Manchester City, playing their first competitive match without Pep Guardiola, travel to Bournemouth. Manchester United, who finished third after Michael Carrick took over in January, face newly-promoted Hull City away. Liverpool, now managed by Andoni Iraola, begin at Newcastle United.

Chelsea, under new boss Xabi Alonso after a disappointing 10th-place finish last term, start with a west London derby at Fulham. Tottenham, who survived relegation on the final day of last season, host Brentford.
