Crystal Palace moved into the Premier League top four after Marc Guéhi’s late header secured a 2-1 victory at Fulham. The win continued Oliver Glasner’s impressive record against Marco Silva, having beaten Fulham twice earlier this year, including in the FA Cup.
Eddie Nketiah opened the scoring on his first Premier League start of the season, finishing crisply after a fine pass from Tyrick Mitchell. Fulham equalised through Harry Wilson’s brilliant strike, his second goal of the season contender in as many weeks, after a one-two with Raúl Jiménez.
Guéhi, who is out of contract at the end of the season, headed home the winner late on to seal the points. Glasner joked about the team’s position but acknowledged the demanding schedule, with Palace playing their 24th match of the season.
Fulham had chances, with Dean Henderson denying Emile Smith Rowe and Calvin Bassey hitting the post, but a late offside call ruled out a potential winner. Silva lamented his side’s lack of resilience, saying: “These are the type of games that if you can’t win, then you can’t lose.”
