Nico O'Reilly has urged his Manchester City teammates to keep their focus as the Premier League title race with Arsenal reaches a critical juncture. City closed the gap on the Gunners to three points with a 2-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola's side can move top of the table by beating Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday, having a game in hand over the league leaders. O'Reilly, who provided the assist for Erling Haaland's winner against Arsenal, said the squad is hungry for success.
“We're hungry for it. We want it, we just need to keep going and stay focused. There's not much thinking to do, we've got to go out there and put 100 per cent effort in every game,” the young England international told the club's media.
He added: “All the games for the rest of the season are massive games – and we need to go and win them. Put in good performances, score goals and we'll see how it goes. We need to go into Wednesday, like we did on Sunday. The same mindset.”
Arsenal do not play again until Saturday when they host Newcastle United. Both sides face tricky fixtures in their run-ins, with City still to face Everton, Bournemouth and Aston Villa, while Arsenal travel to West Ham and Crystal Palace.
