Manchester United are reportedly willing to sell goalkeeper Andre Onana for around £30m this summer, a significant drop from the £50m they paid Inter Milan in 2023. The Cameroonian has struggled with inconsistency during his two seasons at Old Trafford, making 101 appearances but failing to convince as a long-term number one.
However, United face a major obstacle in offloading the 29-year-old. Monaco and Saudi Arabian clubs have shown tentative interest, but neither is expected to meet the £30m asking price. Onana himself is in no rush to leave, insisting he wants to fight for his place despite hinting at a possible departure last month when he said: 'Will I leave? I don't know, we'll see!'
Should Onana remain, it could hamper United's plans to sign a new goalkeeper. Targets include Aston Villa's Emi Martinez, who said: 'My future? I don't know... the transfer window just opened, so there's still a long way to go.' Botafogo's John Victor has also been linked, with a £5.8m release clause in his contract.
United have already begun pre-season training and will face Leeds in Sweden before travelling to the USA for the Premier League Summer Series. Onana has three years left on his contract, and the club had previously considered a loan move.
