Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign with a trip to St James' Park to face Newcastle United, with Andoni Iraola taking charge of his first competitive game as Reds head coach.
The Basque boss has been in position since the beginning of June, following a pre-season that included a three-game US tour and two Anfield friendlies. He replaces former Bournemouth head coach Jurgen Klopp's successor, having taken over from the German this summer.

Newcastle United also have a new man in the dugout, with Matthias Jaissle taking charge of his first competitive match with the Magpies after replacing Eddie Howe.

The centre-back issue feels like the most pressing decision for Iraola, with a toss-up between Jeremy Jacquet and Ronald Araujo, both of whom will be looking to make their Reds debut. Rio Ngumoha is expected to start off the right once more.
