Arsenal on Alert as £140m Double Deal Gets Green Light

Arsenal have been put on red alert as a potential £140million double transfer move has received a significant endorsement. The Gunners are reportedly targeting Newcastle's Bruno Guimaraes and Lille's Ayyoub Bouaddi to bolster their midfield options ahead of the new season.

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has urged club owner Stan Kroenke to approve the double deal. Speaking to Jackpot City Casino, Petit said: 'Bruno Guimaraes is a good player. If you add Ayyoub Bouaddi as well, there are some great options out there for Arsenal.'

Guimaraes, valued at £80m, has been a long-term target for Arsenal since his time at Lyon. Bouaddi, with a reported £60m price tag, has been linked following discussions between Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta and the midfielder's representatives.

In addition to midfield reinforcements, Arsenal are also pursuing Chilean winger Dario Osorio, described as the 'next Alexis Sanchez'. The 22-year-old Midtjylland star scored eight goals and provided 10 assists last season. Midtjylland's sporting director Kristian Kjaer confirmed interest from Arsenal and other Premier League clubs, stating: 'In my opinion, the Premier League suits him very well.'

Osorio could be available for between £10.3m and £12.9m, but faces competition from Benfica, whose new manager Marco Silva is also keen on the forward. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has yet to make any new signings this summer, with only the permanent signing of Piero Hincapie completed so far.

The Gunners are looking to strengthen their squad as they prepare to defend their Premier League title and compete on multiple fronts next season.
