Milan derby free on BBC Two as Serie A deal expands

AC Milan and Inter Milan meet at the San Siro tonight in the latest Milan derby, with the match broadcast free on BBC Two as part of a new agreement to show Italian football in the UK.

The Derby della Madonnina kicks off at 7.45pm UK time on Saturday, October 31, with BBC coverage starting five minutes earlier at 7.40pm. It is the first Milan derby of the 2026/27 Serie A season.

How to watch the match

Viewers can watch the game on BBC Two without a subscription to a dedicated sports channel. The match is also available to stream live through BBC iPlayer on smartphones, tablets, computers and compatible smart TVs.

Why the BBC is showing the derby

The broadcast is part of a wider agreement that brings Italian football back to free-to-air television in the UK. The BBC has secured a package of 38 Serie A matches for the 2026/27 season.

Of those, 19 matches will be shown on BBC ALBA with Gaelic-language commentary alongside English commentary, while a further 19 games are made available through BBC Sport and BBC iPlayer.

The arrangement builds on a deal that began during the previous season and has now been expanded for the current campaign. DAZN continues to hold extensive Serie A broadcasting rights in the UK and Ireland, but the BBC agreement gives supporters another way to watch Italian football without paying for a dedicated sports subscription.
