Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Omar Marmoush from Manchester City. The Egyptian forward heads to north London on an initial season-long loan deal that includes the obligation for a permanent transfer next summer, believed to be worth around £60 million including add-ons.
Follows Savio to Spurs
Marmoush follows Savio - also known as Savinho - from City to Spurs, with the Brazilian winger having completed his £85 million switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this week. Savio then scored on his debut in the 5-1 Carabao Cup rout of Charlton on Wednesday night.
Shirt number and first words
Marmoush has been handed the No22 shirt by Tottenham, which previously belonged to midfielder Conor Gallagher, who switched to the No8 this season following the departure of Yves Bissouma.
Explaining his decision to join Spurs, Marmoush told the club's official website: "It feels amazing to be here. I'm so excited to get started with the team and I can't wait to meet the fans."
