Ex-Man Utd Star Chicharito Becomes TikTok Chef After Football Career

Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, known as Chicharito, has surprised fans by launching a new career as a TikTok chef. The Mexican forward, who scored 37 Premier League goals for the Red Devils between 2010 and 2015, is now sharing cooking videos on the platform.

Hernandez's most recent club was C.D. Guadalajara in his native Mexico, where his contract ended in December. Now without a team, he has pivoted to social media, demonstrating how to prepare his signature Milanese sandwich. In the clip, he sears beef, dices vegetables, and makes his own pesto.

The video has amassed over five million views and 300,000 likes, with fans expressing disbelief in the comments. One wrote: "Chicharito is doing side quests now," while another joked: "This AI or am I buggin??" A third commented: "I saw this man in his prime, now bro is a chef.. before GTA 6."

Hernandez joined Manchester United from Guadalajara in 2010, scoring on his debut in the Community Shield and winning the Premier League title in his first season. He secured a second Premier League title in 2013 before playing time diminished under David Moyes. He later had loan spells at Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, followed by a stint at West Ham. After leaving the Hammers in 2019, he played for Seville, LA Galaxy, and Guadalajara.
