Man Utd's Bayindir Set for January Exit After Losing Place to Lammens

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal for goalkeeper Altay Bayindir to join Besiktas for €5 million (£4.3 million) in the January transfer window, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik. The 27-year-old Turkey international has lost his starting spot to summer signing Senne Lammens and has not played since early October.

Bayindir, who has one year remaining on his contract with an optional 12-month extension, is expected to finalise personal terms with Besiktas. The Turkish club attempted to sign him in January but were blocked by United at the last minute.

Meanwhile, Andre Onana, currently on loan at Trabzonspor, has expressed a desire to return and fight for the No.1 spot at Old Trafford. The goalkeeper has kept four clean sheets in 20 appearances this season but faces competition from Lammens, who has been praised by Gary Neville as having a 'big, big future'.

United's decision to sell Bayindir would leave a vacancy in the goalkeeping department, potentially opening the door for Onana to re-establish himself as first choice.
