Manchester United have unveiled their new home kit for the 2026/27 season, inspired by the club's 1970s kits and featuring Adidas' classic three stripes on the sleeves. The kit, which includes a polo collar, was officially released on Wednesday and is now available at Fanatics, Kitbag, Sports Direct, and the official Man United Store, with adult shirts priced from £85 and children's from £55.
The Red Devils will break tradition by debuting the kit before the current season ends. The first official outing will be on Saturday when the women's team wears it against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. The men's team will then wear it on Sunday against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford, marking Casemiro's final home game for the club, and again on the final day of the season at Brighton.
This marks the first time United have introduced a new home shirt at the end of an existing campaign, a practice already adopted by Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea in recent years. The kit will also be worn when United return to the Champions League next season, with Adidas' contract including a £10 million deduction for non-Champions League seasons.
Fan reactions on social media have been mixed, with one supporter calling it 'beautiful' and another criticising the design as uninspired. A third fan simply noted, 'Clean kit. Manchester United always hits different in red.'
