Juventus have presented Paul Pogba with a new contract in an attempt to fend off interest from Manchester United, according to the midfielder's agent, Mino Raiola. The Italian champions are offering a wage increase to around £130,000 a week to keep the 23-year-old at the club.
Pogba, who began his career at Old Trafford before leaving for Juventus in 2012, is currently on holiday after France's defeat in the Euro 2016 final. Raiola stated that he did not discuss a potential transfer with Pogba during the tournament, but the pair are now expected to talk about their options.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen to make Pogba his fourth priority signing of the summer. United officials are privately confident of completing a deal, although Real Madrid's apparent reluctance to meet the asking price could give them a clear run. However, Raiola has indicated that Pogba is not desperate to leave Juventus and could stay.
Raiola, who has already facilitated moves for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to United this summer, said: 'There is a lot of talk about Paul's future, but maybe he will not leave Juventus. He is in no rush to leave, and Juventus do not want him to go. They want him to renew his contract.'
