Juventus are holding advanced talks with Manchester United over a loan deal for Joshua Zirkzee, with a £30m option to buy included for the Italian club.
The 25-year-old Dutch striker has struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford since his move from Bayern Munich in 2024, scoring just five goals in 56 Premier League appearances under Erik ten Hag, Ruben Amorim and current boss Michael Carrick.
United are said to be receptive to Zirkzee's departure this summer, although the player is understood to be happy to stay. He sought a move in January but was told it would not be feasible, with European football at United in 2026/27 believed to be a factor in his thinking.
Juventus turned their attention to Zirkzee after failing to agree a fee with Paris Saint-Germain for Randal Kolo Muani, who spent last season on loan at Tottenham. The Serie A club are reported to be the most serious suitors, with Roma also holding a long-standing interest. Zirkzee previously played in Italy for Parma and Bologna.
United are prepared to sanction a loan with a £30m purchase option despite having paid around £36.5m for him, with the fee viewed as reasonable given his inconsistent performances. Zirkzee scored in United's 5-0 pre-season win over Rosenborg, but he currently sits behind Benjamin Sesko and Mateus Cunha in the pecking order, and Marcus Rashford's potential return could push him further down the ranks.
