Man City vs PSG: Champions League live updates and team news

Manchester City take on Paris Saint-Germain this evening in matchday two of the league phase of the Champions League at the Etihad Stadium. Kick-off is at 8pm BST.

Maresca's perfect start and Guardiola's return

Enzo Maresca's side are undefeated so far this term, in what has been a perfect start to the Italian's tenure at the Etihad Stadium. He took over the reins from his former boss Pep Guardiola, who stepped down over the summer after ten years of service, including 20 trophies.

The Spaniard will be back tonight, but only in a spectating capacity, with one of the Etihad's stands named after the club's former manager.

City's first home game since financial verdict

City play at home for the first time since an independent commission ruled a guilty verdict on 114 of their 115 charges for financial breaches, although an appeal process is in motion as the club pleads its innocence.

They take on a Paris side that has won this competition twice in a row, defeating Arsenal last season on penalties after a tense 1-1 draw in Budapest. The Ligue 1 outfit are sixth in France's top flight after a stuttering start to the campaign, but the European stage is where they often do their best work.

This is a huge game not just on the field, but off it, as City play their first match at home since their guilty verdict on their 114 financial breaches.
