Tottenham injury boost: Maddison and Udogie available for Palace
Maddison and Udogie available for Spurs vs Palace

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday, with James Maddison and Destiny Udogie both available for selection.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed the news, easing concerns over Maddison after the attacking midfielder was withdrawn shortly after half time in Spurs' 2-0 win at Chelsea last weekend with a suspected groin injury.

Maddison's fitness concerns

Maddison has struggled to regain full fitness since returning from an anterior cruciate ligament injury at the end of last season, and also spent time on the sidelines with a shoulder fracture in September.

He was given a surprise start at Stamford Bridge after scoring on his first competitive start since May 2025 against Coventry, but his early withdrawal raised concerns on a historic evening for the visitors.

De Zerbi said the knock was not as bad as first feared, although he admitted the England international had not trained fully this week.

“James is available,” the Italian said of his No10. “This week, Maddison didn’t work like other players, but for tomorrow he is available. He is a special player for us. He has unique characteristics.”

More injury updates

Udogie has missed Spurs' last two games with a knee injury but could be in contention to face Palace.

“He [Udogie] is available,” De Zerbi said of his compatriot. “That is another problematic player in terms of injuries.”

Lucas Bergvall remains out with a knee injury picked up during Spurs' 1-1 draw with Manchester United. Savio is continuing to manage a muscular issue, while Mykhailo Mudryk has been out since the start of September with an ankle problem.

“Still out [are] Tosin, [Lucas] Bergvall, [Mykhailo] Mudryk. Savio is injured. Everyone else is available,” De Zerbi said.

Palace's form

Spurs take on a Palace side on Saturday who have been in inconsistent form since Pierre Sage took over from Oliver Glasner in the summer.

The Eagles are 17th in the table with just two wins all season, and they are without a league win since their 3-1 victory over Glasner's Nottingham Forest at the start of October. They did snap their winless run in all competitions in midweek, with a narrow 1-0 victory at Fulham in the Carabao Cup, thanks to Eddie Nketiah's first-half winner.
