A sports presenter has recalled the moment she asked darts sensation Luke Littler to throw with his left hand – and he missed the board entirely.
Alex Aljoe, a broadcaster, made the revelation while speaking to the Express. She described how, during an exhibition match warm-up a couple of years ago, she asked Littler, who throws right-handed, whether darts professionals can throw with their other hand. His attempt with his left hand missed the board, prompting her to say "Question answered."
Aljoe, however, was quick to defend the teenage star, noting that she would also "miss the target" if forced to work in an unfamiliar language. She also expressed admiration for Littler's natural talent on the oche.
The anecdote comes as Littler prepares to compete at the Bahrain Darts Masters, where he is aiming for the £30,000 top prize. He will face Gerwyn Price on Friday. The 18-year-old recently secured his second World Championship title, capping off a remarkable 2025 season.
Speaking about his ambitions for 2026, Littler said: "This is always what I wanted to do. I'm going to get better and keep practising, and hopefully, more titles will come in 2026. The World Masters, the European Championship and the World Cup are the ones I really want." He added that Luke Humphries will also want the World Cup.
