Liverpool's 15-Year-Old Prodigy Stuns on Academy Debut

Liverpool's academy continues to produce remarkable talent, with 15-year-old Josh Abe stealing the show on his under-18s debut. The young forward scored twice in the opening 25 minutes to help the Reds secure a 4-2 victory over Derby County in the U18 Premier League North clash at Kirkby on Friday.

Abe opened the scoring with a shot from the edge of the area before doubling his tally with a deflected effort following a pass from 14-year-old Luca Eden. Remi Harvey pulled one back for Derby before half-time, but Oliver O'Connor restored Liverpool's two-goal lead on 61 minutes. Derby were reduced to 10 men shortly after when Marley Mintus received a second yellow card.

Despite the setback, Derby kept fighting and Kieran Clarke's strike gave them hope with 12 minutes remaining. However, substitute Josh Sonni-Lambie made the game safe for Liverpool in the 10th minute of added time, notching his 19th goal of the campaign.

Meanwhile, the under-21s continued their impressive form with a 1-0 win at Brighton, thanks to a second-half penalty from Kieran Morrison. New arrival Noah Adekoya made his debut and helped the side keep a clean sheet, moving them within five points of league leaders Chelsea.

The under-21s are next in action on Sunday, February 8 at Southampton, while an under-19 side travels to Slovakia on Tuesday to face MSK Zilina in the UEFA Youth League round of 32.
