England Lioness star Ella Toone has announced her engagement to Joe Bunney following a romantic clifftop proposal in Ibiza. The 25-year-old forward, who was a key player in England's Euro 2025 victory, shared the news on Instagram with her 830,000 followers.
The proposal took place against a stunning backdrop of the sea and mountains. Joe, a non-league footballer for Stalybridge Celtic, had arranged a giant heart made of red flowers with the words 'Will you marry me?' hanging in the centre. Ella wore a knitted cream dress for the occasion.
One of the photos posted by Toone showed Joe's son Arlo holding a red rose and the engagement ring while standing in front of the heart. The couple have been together for three years, and Joe has a son from a previous relationship.
