Lincoln City CEO Liam Scully has confirmed that Jack Moylan is expected to join Cardiff City this summer. The Bluebirds are closing in on a deal for the Republic of Ireland international, with a substantial fee reportedly agreed with the Imps.
Deal not yet complete
Speaking to the BBC, Scully said: "The deal isn't done yet and there's still a bit to go. I'd expect it to be completed, and Jack goes with our best wishes."
He added: "Ultimately, part of this is we don't need to sell. But ultimately I think we're looking at how we can best put together a group for Lincoln City in the Championship. All things considered, it feels like the right thing for Lincoln City and Jack Moylan."
Boost for Cardiff
A move would be a welcome boost for Cardiff, who have so far completed just one transfer this window, sealing a permanent move for goalkeeper Nathan Trott.
Moylan scored 11 league goals and registered seven assists from midfield last season, establishing himself as one of League One's standout performers. His form also earned him a senior Republic of Ireland call-up this summer.
Comfortable as a No.10, an advanced No.8, or drifting wide, Moylan would offer a versatile creative option for manager Barry-Murphy.
Meanwhile, defender Jesper Daland looks set to leave Cardiff, with the Norwegian closing in on a move to Viking.
