Liverpool travel to the Raiffeisen Arena this evening for their Champions League clash against Austrian champions LASK, with kick-off at 5.45pm UK time.
The Reds began the league phase with a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid at Anfield on matchday one. Another three points would help soften the blow of their first defeat under new head coach Andoni Iraola, a 3-0 home loss to Manchester City on Sunday.
Team News and Availability
Ryan Gravenberch, who was controversially sent off in that match, is available this evening as Premier League suspensions do not carry over to European competitions. However, Iraola is again short of options, with Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo joining longer-term injury victims on the sidelines.
The official Liverpool team news is expected around 4.30pm. Ian Doyle is reporting from Austria, with Paul Gorst back on Merseyside, providing build-up, an in-game commentary stream, and post-match reaction.
Youth League Comeback
Earlier today, Ian Doyle covered the UEFA Youth League match between LASK and Liverpool, where the Reds produced an incredible comeback to win 4-2, thanks largely to a hat-trick from Will Wright.
Liverpool's next Premier League test is a tricky trip to Brentford on Saturday, but for now attention is fully on the Champions League encounter in Austria.
