Kasper Hogh scored a hat-trick as Celtic cruised to a 3-0 victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday. The £11m striker's treble, his first goals of the season, came after a dominant first-half display from the champions.
First-Half Dominance
Celtic took the lead in the 33rd minute when Hogh finished off a cross from Engels. The striker doubled the lead just after the hour mark, and completed his hat-trick minutes later with a well-worked move involving Duran and Nygren. The visitors were in complete control, with Tierney and Nygren also impressing.
Kilmarnock, playing on their newly installed grass pitch, started brightly but were overrun after the first 20 minutes. Manager Neil McCann's bold approach left his side exposed, and they struggled to contain Celtic's attacking threat.
Killie's New Pitch
The match marked the first time Celtic had played on Kilmarnock's new grass surface, which replaced the controversial plastic pitch. The surface looked in excellent condition, despite the rain, and both teams attempted to play attacking football.
Celtic's win was their second in a row following their 1-0 victory over Dundee on Monday, a match played under the shadow of manager Martin O'Neill's brief hospitalisation. Assistant boss Shaun Maloney took charge and praised his side's performance.

Maloney, speaking to Sky Sports before the match, had warned of Kilmarnock's threat, saying: "They've got a bit of everything, Kilmarnock. They definitely can score, they can concede as well so it's normally really open. They're willing to fight and run, so we'll need to match that."
The win moves Celtic to the top of the Premiership table, while Kilmarnock remain winless after their opening-day defeat to St Johnstone. Celtic's next match is against Hearts at Celtic Park on Saturday.
