Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have announced the opening date for their new Kansas City steakhouse, 1587 Prime. The restaurant will officially open on September 17 inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, coinciding with Mahomes’ 30th birthday.
The name 1587 Prime is a combination of the duo’s jersey numbers: 15 for Mahomes and 87 for Kelce. Spanning 10,000 square feet across two floors, the venue includes several private dining rooms and a prominent meat display.
The menu features luxurious fare such as wagyu beef, togarashi-fried chicken, shrimp in Diablo sauce, and a Japanese A5 wagyu smash burger. Additionally, guests can choose from specialty butters, sauces, and a “steak flight experience” with wagyu filet, Black Angus ribeye, and Japanese New York strip.
In a promotional video, Kelce said, “What’s better than to break food with people over good food, good drinks and a cool vibe?” Mahomes added, “Kansas City loves food. The city’s gonna love it.”
Reservations open on August 20 at 12 pm CST. The restaurant is also hiring for positions including executive sous chef, dishwasher, bartender, and host.
