Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury could now settle their bitter feud in Wales.
The British heavyweights were expected to clash at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 20. But Joshua’s contract includes a clause insisting the fight takes place in the UK and he has demanded that be honoured.
Cardiff in the running
Talks with Wembley reopened last week but Cardiff’s Principality Stadium is now in the running. The 80,000-seater stadium has the advantage of having a retractable roof.
Timing and scheduling
The showdown would be held in the early hours to suit the American market and could be pushed back into December. And a Friday night date is still favoured to avoid a clash with the American football schedule.
