Iraola gives Liverpool double injury boost ahead of Arsenal clash
Iraola issues Liverpool injury update before Arsenal game

Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has refused to rule Dominik Szoboszlai and Victor Munoz out of Sunday's Premier League meeting with Arsenal at Anfield.

Both players have missed the last three matches after picking up injuries during the win at Brentford earlier this month. Szoboszlai was forced off early in that game after aggravating a previous hamstring injury, while Munoz played on and scored the equaliser at the Gtech Community Stadium despite suffering a knock to the knee.

Injury update on key duo

Speaking on Friday, Iraola said of the pair: "I think they have a chance. But I don't know for sure if they will be involved or not."

"We still have two days, so I think they have a chance, yes."

Liverpool will definitely be without Jeremie Frimpong, with the Netherlands international not expected back until after the November international break. Long-term injured trio Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike remain sidelined.

Anfield atmosphere as an advantage

The Reds have avoided defeat in their last four meetings with the Gunners and can move within three points of Mikel Arteta's side with a sixth successive victory in all competitions at the weekend.

The game is the last of four successive home games, with Liverpool having knocked Chelsea out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday after beating Villarreal in the Champions League and Brighton in the Premier League.

Reds skipper Virgil van Dijk believes he is feeling the "energy" once again from the Anfield crowd, and Iraola is adamant that has not been reliant on the recent run of home victories.

"It's not just winning," he said. "At Anfield everyone feels when the team goes for it, when everyone is giving everything, when everyone is trying his best, our supporters will be there to help the team.

"Even when we've started losing in some of the last games they have been there and have helped massively."

"The other day against Chelsea, I thought the atmosphere was really, really good."

"It's nice to recover and feel these things at home as we have a big advantage over other teams because this atmosphere we can create is special."
