Manchester United are back in competitive action this afternoon when they travel to Hull City in today's early kick-off at the MKM Stadium. United enter the game as favourites, but Michael Carrick has warned the Reds not to underestimate their opponents.
Team News and Injury Updates
Benjamin Sesko is back in training after injury, and Carrick has hinted he could be in today's squad. Matthijs de Ligt is another who is continuing his recovery from injury, but the defender has been ruled out of today's game. Mason Mount is a doubt for the clash after he picked up a knock in pre-season.
Sesko did not make a single appearance during pre-season as he recovered from a shin injury. However, he has returned to full training.
Hull's Threat and Match Odds
As for Hull, United will need to be wary of striker Oli McBurnie. He scored 18 goals for the Tigers last season in the Championship, including the winner in the play-off final against Middlesbrough at Wembley Stadium.

It's matchday on Humberside as the Reds take on Hull City in their Premier League opener. Against the newly-promoted Tigers, United are the favourites this afternoon but should not underestimate their opponents. Hull defied the odds to secure their play-off spot on the final day of last season and then gained promotion.
United will be backed by a healthy following, as ever, and have plenty of quality in their squad. Santos and Tielemans could make their competitive debuts for United this afternoon, while all eyes will be on Rashford again.
